When Your Mind Is Loud and Your Soul Feels Quiet
Something within you knows that a change is needed.
Not loudly.
Not clearly.
But quietly… persistently.
A feeling that lingers beneath your everyday life.
A subtle tension.
A sense that where you are right now
is not fully where you are meant to be.
And with that feeling often comes a question:
What should I do?
But instead of clarity, you meet noise.
Thoughts circling.
Doubts getting louder.
Pressure building inside your chest.
You try to think your way through it.
To find the “right” decision.
To finally feel certain.
And yet… the more you think,
the further clarity seems to slip away.
Because this is the part we were never taught:
Clarity is not something you force.
It is something you return to.
And the path back to it
does not begin in your mind.
It begins in your state.
It’s Not the Decision — It’s the State You’re In
When life feels out of alignment,
there is often an urgency to change something.
To fix.
To move.
To finally feel better.
But what feels like clarity
is often just pressure in disguise.
When your nervous system is overwhelmed,
your mind becomes louder.
It tries to create safety through control:
analyzing, comparing, overthinking.
But your mind alone
cannot access your deeper truth.
It can only work with what it already knows —
past experiences, logic, and imagined outcomes.
Your truth, however, lives deeper.
In your body.
In your emotional openness.
In your inner sense of expansion or contraction.
Why Overthinking Keeps You Stuck
Overthinking creates the illusion of progress.
You go through every possible scenario.
You weigh every option.
You try to predict the future.
And still… nothing feels right.
Because decisions are not meant to be solved like problems.
They are meant to be felt.
If your body feels tense, closed, or restless,
no amount of thinking will bring clarity.
Before You Decide — Come Back to Yourself
When you feel the urge to change your life, pause.
Not because your desire is wrong.
But because your state matters.
A dysregulated system makes reactive decisions.
A grounded system makes aligned ones.
Give yourself the space
to return to yourself first.
🧘♀️ 1. Let Your System Settle
Not every decision needs to be made immediately.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do
is to wait.
Wait until your breath softens.
Until your thoughts slow down.
Until your body feels a little more open.
Decisions made from fear, pressure, or doubt
often lead you further away from yourself.
So instead of asking:
What should I do right now?
Ask:
What do I need to feel safe and clear first?
📝 2. Reflect: What Truly Matters to You Right Now?
Clarity begins to emerge
when you reconnect with what is important to you.
Gently ask yourself:
💫What feels most important to me in this phase of my life?
💫What kind of life am I moving towards?
💫Does this option feel expansive — or contracting?
💫If fear wasn’t here, what would feel right?
💫What do I need more of right now: safety, growth, freedom, stability, or connection?
There is no universally right decision.
There is only the decision
that aligns with who you are becoming.
🪑 3. Let Your Options Speak (The Chair Practice)
Instead of thinking about your options,
allow yourself to experience them.
Start with a few deep breaths.
Let your body soften.
Arrive in the present moment.
Then sit in silence.
Imagine Option A sitting across from you.
Do not analyze.
Do not create a mental dialogue.
Simply observe.
If this option could speak —
what would it say?
And even more important:
how does it feel in your body to face it?
Notice sensations.
Openness or tightness.
Warmth or resistance.
Calm or pressure.
Then gently switch.
Let Option B take the seat.
Again, stay in observation.
No discussion. No comparison.
Just feeling.
This practice moves you out of your head
and back into your inner knowing.
The Shift
Decision-making becomes lighter
the moment you stop forcing answers.
You don’t need to rush.
You don’t need to figure everything out at once.
Clarity is not something you chase.
It is something that finds you
when you are no longer in inner chaos.
Final Thought
You are not here to choose from fear.
You are not here to decide from pressure.
You are here to feel.
To align.
To trust.
And when you do…
Decisions stop feeling like battles.
And start feeling like a quiet, steady knowing
that gently guides you forward.
